Date of Birth: 4 December 1965

The Teec Nos Pos style, particularly the Teec Outline design, has long been a tradition with the Coggashells. Ruby learned from her mom, Bessie Coggashell, who in turn learned from her mother. Ruby learned to weave at an early age, and has been weaving all her life. She will create all sizes, from 2' X 3' to as large as 5' X 8'. Ruby and Bessie live together (Ruby is unmarried), and both are full-time weavers, working up to 16 hours a day at the loom. Occasionally mother and daughter will collaborate, sitting side by side at their large loom, working together with both the colors and the pattern. Ruby's aunt (Bessie's sister) Mae Yazzie and Ruby's sister Lucy Coggashell Yazzie are the only other family member that weave regularly.
