Eddie Bonnie

Born 17 March 1978
Clans: born to Edgewater clan
Resides in the Wide Ruins region of the Navajo reservation
(Wide Ruins, Arizona)

Eddie has been surrounded by great weavers all of his life. It was his Grandmother, Blanche Hale who first taught him the basics of weaving, but he had great mentors in his mother Annie Bonny, great aunt Alice Hale Joe, and cousin sisters Betty Roan and Jennie Thomas. Eddie weaves the classic Navajo Wide Ruins regional design. He uses natural handspun wool and vegetal dyes. He seems to prefer the earth tone colors of browns, tans, black, gray and white. Eddie works on his weaving only in his spare time as he works at one of the West Sun Stop and Shop's on the reservation for his full time employment.
