Linda is an excellent basket weaver, concentrating on the miniature horsehair pieces although she also weaves the full size yucca and willow baskets. Linda is one of the more innovative weavers, and is gaining a wide reputation for her work. She uses a great deal of the sorrel (brown) horsehair, and is working on exceptional depth in her designs. The Tohono O'odham Indian weavers (translation: Desert People; they were previously known as the Papago tribe) have received wide recognition for their fine miniature weavings. At the annual Indian market in Santa Fe, both the Miniature Basket and Coiled Basket awards typically go to Tohono O'odham weavers. Linda's work has been widely published, including in the book Santa Fe Indian Market by Tryk and Nohl.
